What is Telepark?

Telepark is a system that enables customers to pay for parking in real time using their mobile phone. After a quick online registration, (Select “Register for Telepark Services”), the registered phone number is recognized every time it calls the Telepark system to Start and Stop parking in all Telepark compatible parking lots. To fully use the system, you can create an ONLINE PROFILE (Select “Create an Online Profile”) which can be useed
to manage your account, giving you the ability to modify account details,view parking history and to use the Telepark WEB APPS or Telepark Website to Start/Stop parking.
This is OPTIONAL. You do not need to create an Online Profile to use the Telepark System.
NOTE: Once registered to the System, you can call the phone number number located on the Telepark signage at any Telepark enabled parking lot to start and stop parking, or you can text (sms message) to start and stop parking.
If you created an Online Profile, you can also use the the Telepark Website or
the Telepark WEB APPS to start and stop parking.

How do I Sign up for Telepark Services?

Go to our website at www.telepark.ca (full site) and click on “Register for Telepark Services”. To register you will need the following:
  1. Phone Number
  2. License Plate
  3. Credit Card
  4. Email Address
  5. Decide on a Maximum Charge (Payout Amount) per Transaction, which should you forget to terminate your parking will be determine the maximun amount charged to your account.
Upon completing your registration, you will receive a text message and email with your Telepark Account Number (Parkcard code) at which time you may start parking by using your registered mobile phone. In order to add more than one vehicle or phone number to the account, you will need to create an “Online Profile” to manage your account.
Creating an “Online Profile” is OPTIONAL.
You do not need to create an Online Profile to use the Telepark System if you do not need to modify your account or use the Telepark Website or the WEB APPS to start and stop your parking sessions.

Why should I sign up for an Online Profile?

Some of the benefits for signing up for an Online Profile include the following:
You will be able to add multiple phone numbers or vehicles license plates to your account.
You will be able to view your parking history including all parking session you have completed.
You will be able to start and stop parking sessions online.
You will be able to use the Telepark WEB APPS to start and stop parking.

How do I Create an Online Profile?

Go to our website at www.telepark.ca (full site).
On the left side of the page click on
"Create An Online Profile"
Fill in required information. You will need the mobile number you used to create your Telepark account and the Parkcard Code that was sent to you when you registered.
If you forgot you Parkcard number you can retrieve it by selecting option
"Forgot My Parlcard Account". After you create your Online Profile, you should receive an authentication email,click on the link
supplied in the email to confirm that it was you who created the profile. If you do not receive an email,please contact Telepark Support

How do I start parking using the Telepark System

You do not 'BUY TIME' when you use Telepark
You start a parking session when you want to park and when finished you terminate the the parking session.
As a result you are only charged for the time you used.
No more guessing how long you will take, with Telepark it doesn’t matter! You can use the Telepark system at a parking lot with a Telepark sticker or sign.
You can start a parking session in THREE different ways
  1. You can call in your parking session using the phone number provided on the Telepark sign/decal.
  2. You can SMS/Text in your parking session using the SMS number provided on the Telepark sign/decal. *NOTE this is different than the number used to call in*
  3. You can use the web APPS or the Telepark Website if you have created an Online Profile

Start / Stop Parking by calling the Telephone number

In all Telepark enabled parking lots,there is either a sign or decal with a telephone number you can call to start your parking session. When you dial this number from your registered mobile phone,you will hear an automatic voice prompt "enter the parking lot number" (this can be found on the parking sign where you found the phone number) followed by the # pound sign. Please make sure to enter the # pound sign,or your parking session will not start. If you have started your parking session correctly,the automatic voice will respond after pressing the pound sign (#) by repeating the lot number you entered followed by "Parking activted correctly". To stop your parking session,call the same number and follow the automatic prompt to enter the pound sign (#). The automatic voice will respond stating that the parking session was terminated and the cost of your session.

Start / Stop Parking by calling Telephone number with a Second License Plate

When the automatic voice prompts, "enter the parking "lot number" (found on the parking sign/decal) followed by the # pound sign (#),make sure to enter the # pound sign. Once the automatic voice responds stating "Parking activated correctly" Do not hang up. You will hear a prompt "Press 2 to start parking with second license plate registered". Enter the number 2 for the second plate or the number 3 for the third plate. To stop parking call the same number and enter the # pound sign (#). The automatic voice will respond stating that the parking session was terminated and the cost of your session.

Start / Stop Parking by SMS Text Messaging (Main License Plate)

Send text message ‘XXXX’ to number 647-725-9363 where XXXX is the lot number. For example: if the lot number is 1234, you would text in the message 1234.
Within 30 to 40 seconds you will receive a message stating parking has commenced. Ex. “Parking Started date time lot number lot name license plate REMEMBER TO STOP YOUR PARKING by texting TERM to 6477259363”. To terminate/stop parking.
Text in message 'TERM' to number 647-725-9363. Within 30 to 40 seconds you will receive a message back stating parking has terminated along with the cost of the parking session just terminated. Ex. Parking Stopped Amount $2.00 Plate # 124ABC-BC. From 01/01/2020 12:35 to 01/01/2020 13:12. Thank you. NOTE: Do not enter any numbers or characters after the word: TERM If you do, you will get the message: Error in selecting parking code mm/dd/ccyy hh:mm . Thank you Your parking will not be Terminated.

Start / Stop Parking by SMS Text Messaging using a (second or third plate)

Send text XXXX 2 or XXXX 3 to number 647-725-9363 where 2 is the second license plate and 3 is the third license plate you previously registered in your ONLINE PROFILE. With 30 to 40 seconds you will receive a message stating parking has commenced. To terminate parking
Send text message "TERM" to number 647-725-9363. With 30 to 40 seconds you will receive a message back stating parking has terminated along with the cost of the parking session.

Start / Stop Parking by SMS Text Messaging using an (unregistered plate)

Send text message "XXXX LLLL" to number 647-725-9363 where XXXX is the lot number and LLLL is the License plate you would like to use. For example, if the lot number was 1234, and you want to park with license plate AAAA123, you would text "1234 AAAA123".
Note: You do not need to have previously registered this license plate in order to use this option.
To terminate parking: Send text message "TERM" to number 647-725-9363. Within 30 to 40 seconds you will receive a message back stating parking has terminated along with the cost of the parking session.

Start / Stop Parking by using the Telepark WEB APPS (Phone)

NOTE: To use this feature you would need to create an "Online Profile" first.
Open the web browser on your phone device and type in www.telepark.ca. You will be directed directly to the mobile website (Web APPS) for Telepark Enter the Online Profile login credentials you set up and press the "Login" button. Select a license plate and parking area and press the “Start” button. Remember to terminate/stop your parking after finishing your parking session.

Start / Stop Parking by using the Telepark Website (Computer)

NOTE: To use this featue you would need to Create an "Online Profile" first

On the left side of the main page, Login into your Online Profile
One of the the option is to start and stop parking.

What happens if I forget to stop my parking session?

If you forget to stop your parking session, a few things may happen.
The session may stop if there is a limit on how long you can park at the lot. When terminated a text message will be sent to you notifying you of your parking charge.
If the cost of the parking session reaches the Maximun Charge (Payout Amount) you established when you registered for the Teleapark Service,the session will be terminated and a text message will be sent to you detailing your parking charges.

What does it mean when I get a GENERIC ERROR when I try to start or stop my parking session

This error means usually that your account has been locked for some reason or
the system is not available. Please check the Hours of Operation for the lot and/or contact Telepark Support. Note: Your parking session will have been terminated if you were able to start one.

Parking Terminated due to a Credit Card Error

This error means usually that your Credit Card has expired or something is
wrong with your card (reported lost or stolen etc.). Please update your credit card online and/or contact Telepark Support. Note: Your parking session will have been terminated if you were able to start one.

I have a New Credit card or my Old one does not work

If you have a new credit card or the old one has expired
you must go to our website at www.telepark.ca (full site) and select option
"Modify Credit Card Information".
After selecting "Modify Credit Card Information", input all fields and your credit card will be updated on the Telepark system.
If you forgot your Parkcard number, you can retrieve it by selecting option "FORGOT MY PARKCARD ACCOUNT".

Where is the Telepark WEB APPS?

The WEB APPS can be found at: https://www.telepark.ca/m/
If you are using a Smart phone, just type in your browser: https://www.telepark.ca It knows you are on a smart phone and will go directly to the WEB APPS. This is an Mobile Website that runs on your web browser based on your login credentials so it does not matter what physical phone you are using. This allows you to start a parking transaction from any web-enabled device.

What do I do if I forgot my Password or Security Code?

Go to our website at www.telepark.ca (full site) and select option "Forgot My Password or Security Code" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.
You will only need this information if you have created an "ONLINE PROFILE" and forgot the information to login.

I forgot my Parkcard number (Account number)how do I recover it?

Go to our website at www.telepark.ca (full site)and select option "Forgot My Parkcard Account" from the menu on the left hand side of the page.

When I call the TELEPARK number it says that the number is not in service

You MUST register your phone number and license plate online before you can start using the Telepark service to start a parking transaction.

I was kicked out of my parking without warning and received a violation ticket what do I do?

It is the responsibility of the parker to read and adhere to the parking rates in each lot. If there is a maximum stay for the lot you will be kicked out of Telepark after you have stayed for the allotted duration. For example if the lot has a 2 hour maximum, from the time you start your Telepark parking transaction once you reach the 2 hour mark your parking session with Telepark will be terminated automatically. If you have not left the lot at this time you may be issued a violation.

I received a violation while using Telepark what should I do?

Follow the dispute instructions on the back of the violation ticket you received.
